Is the pan you're using the right size for the ring? So not much smaller or bigger than the ring?

Clutching at straws here 😂 erm is the water boiling before you put the sprouts in? Then whack the lid on with with power boost but stay close by to lower the temp as it bubbles?

We've had our I induction hob for 5 years. 3 times I've took my eye off the hob when boosting. Omg. The clean up is a mare. Water in all the drawers underneath and it seeps through between the hob and the worktop. Not that you asked just a warning 😁
I will be careful with the boost! So different from other hobs, isn’t it!

I’m probably being really stupid here, but I though the rings were all the same size? I thought you only needed to make sure that the pot was in the centre of the ring. But, I’ve probably got that completely wrong. Water definitely just boiled before filling the pan ☺️.

I have one saucepan that takes ages to boil, hubby pointed out it was warped at the edges so it was not fully touching the hob.

Thanks, I’ll have a look at that, too. Think it will be a process of elimination.

It could be that your rings are all the same size, but usually there is at least one large and one small ring, the other two/three being somewhere in between.

If you put a pot that is too small on the large ring, the contact area may not be enough to activate the magnets and it won't heat up. If you put a large pot on a small ring, not all of the base will be heating up.

Hope that makes sense!

Ah ok, got you. I didn’t see anything in the manual mentioning the sizes, but will have another look or Google it. Thank you, again.

Sorry to jump on your thread OP my Bosch induction hob loses power when I put more than two rings on. I usually only use two but over Christmas needed all four power really dropped. Anyone else have this problem.

Yes it's different but I wouldn't go back to gas. The only thing I miss about a gas hob is putting the burners on to take the chill out of the kitchen on a winter morning 😂

We have induction and it boils water so fast that we use it over the kettle!

We've recently moved, new kitchen has an induction hob; I've binned the electric kettle and now use a kettle on the hob.

The whistle reminds me of early morning cup of tea in a Florida villa 😁
