We go tomorrow - anxiety!
My last day at work today (posting at lunch time!). We leave tomorrow for Manchester Airport, and fly on Friday.
It's our first time flying indirect (MAN-ATL-MCO), so although I know we'll be ok (just over 3 hours) that's adding to my anxiety. I know I get like this every time before a holiday, but it seems worse every time! Packing is mostly done, but I've got all day tomorrow until about 4pm to make sure we have everything. Knowing I need to make sure I have all my son's medication and medical equipment to keep safe doesn't help, and dreading security as he can't go through xray/body scanners and the issues we've had in the past with that... I know many of you have said you feel the same... I just want to be there now and have this knot in my stomach disappear!

We fly Sunday and I am ok today but can feel the anxiety starting, so by Friday I will be the same as you are. Around 2-3 weeks ago I started to get crazy dreams of chasing chickens around airports or getting lost in airports, even though I don’t really have a fear of flying. They have stopped now but I know Friday and Saturday I will start worrying about leaving the pets and stressing that they will miss us, or start worrying about flight delays or one of us being ill on holiday (we have no health conditions so this is just another common irrational fear of mine 😀 )
Once I am on the plane I start to relax, then stress through customs and getting our transfer (DME this time) I finally relax once I get to our room. I know it’s pointless worrying, but we travel 2-3 times a year and I’m always the same 😀 Hope you have a great time, can’t wait to be there too 😀 Edited at 12:45 PM. |

Atlanta is a very easy airport to navigate so don't worry. It's a bonus too as you arrive in mco as a domestic passenger and get out and to your hotel/villa much quicker!
Take a deep breath and relax. You're almost there. |

Work all done and dusted (but the kids will still be at school tomorrow), and just dropped our beautiful dog off with my mother in law. I got really emotional, even though I know she'll be spoiled rotten while we're away!
Shower and pj's now, get most of the washing done tonight, and whatever I've got left, my star of a mum is going to come and pick up and do for me

I always hate leaving the pets as I said earlier. Our dog goes to our adult son and his fiancée, they live on the coast so our little dog has lots of lovely walks when we are away so actually loves his holiday too. SiL comes up a few times a day to see to our indoor cat, he does miss us more, but he is well looked after.
Hope you soon start to relax and have a wonderful time 😀 |

This sounds just like me. We also fly Sunday. We have been orlando several times but my anxiety levels seem to heighten each time.
I too worry about leaving the animals. Both cat and dog off to the kennels. I’m sure it will be worth the worry and stress once we get there! |

We fly on Friday from Gatwick. After two years of planning it all seems a bit surreal now!

We fly to Tampa in the morning and I've only just finished packing. I've been sent home twice this week as I've been ill. It's only a cold but it's been the worst one I've ever had. Ache all over and have had no enthusiasm for anything. Hopefully when we check in to the Wilderness Lodge tomorrow and order a cocktail I'll feel a lot better.
Have a great holiday everyone xxx
