Cruise and parks
Have had the last two trips cancelled due to the pandemic, we are thinking of going for two and half weeks this August. There are two choices of itinerary: cruise week one, Disney on-site week two and last four days Universal or Disney on-site week one, cruise week two and finish at Universal.
In normal times, I would say that it would be best to hit the Disney parks in the first week when jet lag works in your favour, but that would mean being in Disney parks in the last week of the local school holidays (ie likely to be busier) and also we get 14 day tickets so if we go in parks first, the second week will be wasted (because we will be on the cruise and unable to use them). If we do the Disney parks followed by universal, we can pop back to any Disney parks we want during the universal stay. It will also be the last two weeks of August when the local schools are back in session... Anyone done anything similar and have any thoughts? Thanks EC |

I have done it both ways, and tbh i enjoyed doing the cruise first.. for the reasons you said, the jet lag helps.
But doing it as the cruise last was nice, i was just upset that i go off the cruise then had to leave Disney

Thank you, that’s really helpful. I’m leaning towards cruise first I think and then I wont’ be so sad getting off the cruise and having to leave the Disney bubble…
