DAS pass and Genie

Hi all
We are looking at going for 3 weeks in Oct 22. My daughter who will be 13 will have a DAS as she is unable to queue for long periods, suffered multiple Brain Tumours since age of 2. She is wanting to do the majority of rides and as we have little to no idea on how the new queuing system works , I'm worried we will not be able to do all the rides, especially the more popular ones. Do we have a battle ahead of us to book on Genie. Sorry if this has been asked before.
Many thanks in advance

Have you used DAS on previous trips? It works just as it did before, the only difference is that you can request a return time in the app instead of having to go to the attraction.

Very simple, there is a DAS button in your MDE menu. Tap that and a list of the attractions will appear. Choose the one you want, then press request return time. Confirm who in the DAS party will be joining. Once the return window has opened, go to the attraction, tap in at the lightning lane (what was the fastpass entrance) and then you can book your next return.

You can also purchase Genie+ if you want to book return times through that as well, but it shouldn't be necessary unless you have very limited time in the parks and need to stack both DAS and Genie+ passes to get through the attractions as quickly as possible.

I have been twice before in October. I do think u will need the genie+ if you have DAS. We went to guest services when we entered our first park . They asked us a couple of questions and then sorted DAS out for us .rather than goin to the ride you want to go on u can just book it on your phone.. whatever the wait time is your time usually starts about ten minutes before that.Once you have checked in for a ride u can go on and book ur next DAS ride. U don't have to wait until you have come off that ride to book . We found it worked well got us when we were there in December. If you decide you do want genie+ aswell you can add it on when u get to a park x

You shouldn't generally need Genie as well. You can start booking your next ride when you have scanned through the queue, so you can still be waiting and enjoying the attraction, while virtually queuing for the next attraction. You can also book 2 rides per day in advanced by doing the video DAS system (though currently you need to use a VPN to access it).

One thing we didn't know is you can book 2 return times per park at least 2 days before you visit each park with Guest Services. So the first park you go to, go to Guest Services and ask them to book you 2 return times for your favourite rides for each park you're going to. Hope that makes sense, then you also have the app to book one at a time on the day, no need for genie.

It stands for virtual private network, it basically allows you to send your traffic via the USA and then Disney think you are browsing from the USA.

TunnelBear has a free option, but there are many other alternatives as well.
