First of all please don't assume that Celebration is any form of "attraction".

It's a township originally developed by the Disney Corporation to be the archetypal small America town. Nothing to do with Disney now although they do have some offices in the commercial area on the edge of town.

Sadly the cinema closed 4 or 5 years ago and there's not that many shops now. Plenty of places to eat though.

We always visit a couple of times every holiday. Nice place to spend a couple of hours walking round the lakes, eating a Kilwins ice cream in the rocking chairs or let the kids play in the fountains (similar to those at Disney Springs)

Certainly worth a trip around Christmas. For instance it "snows" in Main Street late Nov to Christmas and there's a skating rink in the road.

Have a look here - you'll need to check upcoming events nearer the time

If you go at Christmas it’s worth going to Jeater Bend for the Christmas decorations, the whole street is normally decorated and there’s music too. We spoke to one of the owners and he said they do something at Halloween too .

We've also been along Jeater Bend and also in Pondview Court there's a guy who has Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation showing on an external TV. He has a table outside with a visitor's book and free cookies and hot chocolate.

Ooh that sounds good. We first visited when you could go and look at the plans for the houses and choose your builder. It’s certainly grown since then 😊

We love spending time in Celebration and will visit many times during our stay.
We've got 4 or 5 different walks that we enjoy, then we can relax in the rocking chairs by the lake and also enjoy an ice cream from Kilwins.
Has anyone tried the cookie dough shop yet?

It’s a nice location for a ‘foot off the gas’ lunch or dinner. It’s a nice location as a change from all the speed and crowd of Disney. We like it there but we don’t have kids. It used to be quite fun with the cinema, I’ve cream parlour bike hire etc but all that has changed now. It is still lovely for a meal though...

Love Celebration, it has a special place in my heart.
Another fan of Kilwins ice cream shop and enjoy nothing more than a nice wander around the Lake with ice cream in hand 😊🥰😋
Also the small bakery type shop is lovely too which is opposite the bank.👍

Well we obviously didn't get there this month but I have my fingers crossed that we'll see that house in post #3 again in November.

And a trip to the shop in Market Street (was Emporium but now new owners ) to get another Christmas tree decoration.

Fingers crossed for later this year. We still have a snow globe from the original emporium shop with the town of Celebration inside. It was free if you spent so much money, we had just gone in to buy a bookmark, my daughter was at the till and a lady in front of her said she could have it as she already had 1 it was a lovely thing to do.

We bought a red door with a wreath on it about 1" x 3" for less than $10. Would have been three times that in DS. That's the Yorkshire man in me coming out.
