I've just found Lake Louisa State Park - Only 30 miles from Orlando and pretty much on the way to the coast. It was on the Myakka river state park site. but they have the same kind of cabin rental going on. I may have to juggle the days around as you can only do single nights monday to thursday but It might be exactly what we are looking for. The cabins have no TV or WiFi! That will be pure luxury for a night. Thanks for the tip off.

There's a few state parks to stay at in log cabins and all look awesome.
Reason Myakka park stands out a bit more is because of deep hole. Only issue 30 passes a day and it's a trek down to it but all the crocs/ gators there in natural surroundings 😱 Free too! Have a look up of Deep hole and try go on Google earth with the little yellow man and see the pics taken there. Not for the easily scared lol. |

Sorry, I looked at this last night very late and must have clicked on the wrong link as it showed the location as being in the north east of Florida. I've had another look this morning and it appears to have moved to Port Charlotte which makes much more sense. My gin and tonic last night must have been larger than I thought! Thanks for this tip...deep hole looks brilliant. I'll add this to the list
