Shall we go, or not? A last minute trip!

We quite like a February trip to Florida, it is typically wet or cold or both here and that makes us think about holidays! Also, it is my birthday month...!

Our last trip was in February 2019 and we've tried a couple of trips since then but for various reasons not managed to go

We started looking at a trip in the BA sale over Xmas but couldn't make our minds up. Finally, last weekend we found a price via Virgin Atlantic / Virgin Holidays so we went ahead and booked.

We fly out next weekend! We are going for a week staying at the Rosen Shingle Creek and have booked a Cadillac XTS or similar.

We have bought 2 day Disney tickets and are planning on Hollywood Studios and The Magic Kingdom.

We've have reservations planned at Sanaa, The Plaza, Sci Fi and STK (the last one through Open Table).

I'm so hoping for warm sunny weather as the rain is such a drag!

I've been playing around with our fastpasses and managed to pick up one for Splash Mountain (we are going to the Magic Kingdom on the first day after the refurb) today! It's later than I would like but yay!

Reading all the reports online I think we will miss out on Rise of the Resistance, even if we get to the park on time (which is early for our tastes) I can't see us picking up a boarding group... but we'll be back anyway

Wow, I think I'd be having kittens about planning a trip at such short notice. It sounds like you are going to have a fabulous time and it certainly would be lovely to get away from all the wind and rain we've been having here.

No don’t go

Seriously there’s such a culture of advance planning on the dibb that you’d think booking late and planning on the fly was impossible. So long as you are flexible you’ll have a fab time .

Short notice? A few years ago we booked flights on a Friday and flew out Sunday morning... !

I like to plan too, but sometimes a short countdown is fun too

Well, we arrived home yesterday and it is sunny, but soooo cold (and we even had 2 cold days in Orlando)!

Trip report coming soon...
