Fantasmic advice please

Hi going in August and was planning to watch Fantasmic. We have been before and combined it with the dinner package and reserved seating. This time we will be a party of 10, 6 of which are first timers. Shall I book a dinner again was thinking of mama melrose but i know you have to eat quite early with the package or should we just eat anywhere and not have the reserved seating. i am stressing over it as I just want their first time to be so nice. What do you all do? If we just went to the show how early would we need to be ther? Please help I am no longer enjoying the planning, I think its because i am to trying to please 3 families and they are all leaving it to me!

In August when the crowds are likely to be high I would book a dinner package. You can get the latest time if you book early. Better to have reserved seats than miss it especially snce you have newbies with you

deep breath, it will be fine!

the options are to get a package for around 4pm or to get to the area early and chill out on the seating and wait. we prefer the latter...we take some things with to entertain the kids whilst waiting, buy an ice cream and generally enjoy the atmosphere. the problem with the package for us is having to eat so early and then still hang around for the show. and if it rains, and the show is called off, it's also a waste of time and money imo.

I would book the dinner package, if its early you can have a nice long leisurely meal secure in the knowledge that you will also get seats for fantasmic...if its their first time then they'll love it all, whatever you plan so don't stress too much, just chill and enjoy.x

I agree with the above, you still have to get there early to get seating in the reserved area, which they open up to everyone about 45 mins before the show starts. We went in Oct, which i know is a quieter time, but we gt there 1 1/2 before the show started, we could have got seats right upto the start time and there were empty area's left. must admit we really enjoyed just sitting and people watching. Just have wished the woman behind me didn't decide to put her smelly feet right next to where i was sitting and then moan about how i was trying to move things around so i didn't have to smell them
