Trying to eat Orlando in 7 days - Live - Day 4

Sorry for the delay for those following, I’ve been a little behind in posting as we’ve had a very busy couple of days. Additionally we’ve decided not to go home tomorrow do this trip is now a 10 day trip instead of 7 days so we’ll be changing things up slightly from the original plan.

So day 4 started with breakfast at the pop century food court and I wanted Mickey waffles so bad. We both ordered the bounty platter which is breakfast potatoes, bacon, scrambled eggs and sausage with a Mickey waffle.

This was ok, the serving of egg was huge and the sausages nice but sadly the waffle was under cooked and the batter raw in the middle, it filled a hole though and the total came to $30

Goofy’s Candy Cauldron

We nipped in here to escape the rain and got a s’mores cookie to share

This was a little hard to eat, the chocolate was so thick. It was ok but at $6 I’ve had much better snacks

This is where pop went down a gear in quality. Very very average in flavour. All a bit haphazardly made and served. I know these places are punting out food at incredible volumes but so is cheesecake factory... who do well in comparison.

A 4/10, if you are staying at Pop, skip this trash.

Made it to a damp Disney Springs. This necessitated some chocolate to ease the pain of the rain (that is my argument and I am sticking to it).

A "smore" from a premium vendor should do the trick. It didn't. It was rubbish. Tasteless, hard on the teeth, and just generally cheap. For $6, it was woeful. Avoid.

Casey’s Corner

Tonight was Mickeys very merry Christmas party (or as we call it - Mickeys not so scary, merry Christmas party) I’ve heard loads of people moaning on social media about crowding at this event but tonight it was great, we visited a treat spots, went on all but 2 rides, watched the fireworks and if we wanted we could have had photos with characters too.

Before the party we headed to Casey’s and Dan had the foot long Mac n cheese dog

I went for the normal sized fried pickle hot diggity dog which was the normal dog with Green peppers, red peppers, and green onions, shredded cheese and chipotle ranch sauce. It’s all topped off with golden fried pickles.

Mine was absolutely delicious and if you love pickles this is definitely for you, Dan loved his too.

Total was $27.14 and worth every penny

Oh Caseys corner, how I love you. A staple of any visit to the Magic Kingdom. Delicious hot dogs, the order of the day.

I ordered the Mac & cheese dog with fries. As always, it was so good. They never get this wrong.

The place was rammed during mickeys merry xmas party but quality didn't suffer despite the mega crowd levels.

A 9/10, stands out.

Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party

Now I’m ashamed to say that a load of these cookies haven’t been eaten yet but here’s what we managed to score at the party. One thing I did eat was the snowman pretzel which was super salty, wasn’t great, got chocolate was very sweet and warm and Fanta was well just Fanta. The cookies are great though.

If you’re thinking of doing this party I would encourage you to do so for the low wait times and fireworks alone, the cookies are a bonus.

It is no Mickeys not so scary but the xmas party is fun. The treats are plentiful (with some footwork) and the wait times are as Maria notes: minimal.
