Fortunately things did get a lot better on that front. I very nearly had a hissy fit and cancelled all the rest. I'm glad I didn't as the next day we ate at Ratatouille which was great and the last day we ate at the POTC restaurant which was also fab (just a bit dark so hard to see the menu and the food).

Max definitely could take lessons from me when it comes to buffet plates. But I don't think he will listen to me any time soon.
Yes, I think you deserved an apology and some pixie dust too.

Good to hear the rest of your meals went well though.

Max is a teenager now, not likely to listen to anything you say for the next few years 😂

I’m so pleased the next day turned out better and it didn’t spoil your trip. I always think it’s important to give honest reviews of dining experiences. I’m sure most of us are so happy to be there, we daren’t think anything bad!

I’ve never yet run to any ride. Wonder if I’ll be able to resist in May?
I think you're right. I'm sure you could ask others who would rave about cafe Mickey and tell you it's their favourite restaurant. The pudding was super cute and it was the best part of the meal. Perhaps if we had met rare characters, or at least ones we hadn't met before, then we may have rated it more highly. But, then we love meeting Mickey, Minnie and Pluto and will go out of our way to meet them multiple times so perhaps not. It just was not a good meal, but it didn't spoil the rest of the trip, so all In all its not the end of the world.

If you want to get on Crush without a 1 hour plus wait then you may not have a choice, at least do a fast walk, maybe a trot? That's not a run is it?

Yes indeed to the apology, pixie dust and Max...although given that he spends virtually all his time cocooned in his room and doesn't speak to any of us it's no wonder he doesn't listen either

I think the Cafe Mickey experience shows the difference in the service levels between DLP and WDW. I'm sure in WDW your meal would have been on the mouse, they really should have been conscious of not only how embarrassing the situation was for you, but how precious your time there was and you shouldn't have had to waste it going back to pay.

P.S. Don't tell her, but I couldn't holiday with Kate, she has too many opinions and I need to be boss

She really does like to be the boss...I can't think where she gets that from

I suspect you’re right about Crush. A trot it is then 😂.

Having just typed up day 4, I've realised that I did a bit of jogging this was in the Village though and NOT in the park! This was not something I wanted to do as exercise doesn't agree with me, rather it was down to my own stupidity.

Abbey, what were you thinking of? Holidays are for cocktails and eating, not exercising 😀 I have the same allergy to exercise as you do too, strange how alike we are isn’t it? 😂

I promise it wasn't intentional! There is no part of me that likes the idea of exercise while at home, let alone on a holiday. You're right holidays are absolutely for cocktails and eating .

I had completely forgotten that I had done a little jogging and it was all in a desire to get on Crush, that ride has a lot to answer for .

Anyway, I was running against the tide of people as I had to go back through the village to the breakfast bakery where I'd accidentally left my magic card even though it's a short distance I couldn't be bothered to keep up the running. So it ended up being a fast walk while silently chastising myself.

I hope you had a cake at the bakery to recover with 😂
