Lgw to LHR transfer best option
Hi all, sorry if this isn’t in the right place. So 9 of us had booked easyJet from Inverness to Gatwick. We’ve now been informed that we will be flying from Heathrow.
What is the best option for transfer? Timings should be ok to transfer, we just want it not to cost an arm and a leg.

I would speak to virgin and ask them if they can arrange transport for you.
The coach is cheap and easy but a large taxi may be cheaper and can avoid the motorway if needed.

Do you mean you were flying Inverness-lgw-mco? If so how was this booked, is there anyway to change from lgw to lhr. Who is the lhr flight with.
I think I would look at making the london airport the same if possible just to make life a little easier.

We were flying easyJet from inv-lgw and then Virgin lgw-mco. Virgin have moved us to LHR. The only flight to Heathrow from inv is BA which is currently proving at £700 and we’d lose the easyJet money.

We did Gatwick to Heathrow a few years ago and booked a transfer with BA transfers. They were very good.

We have done this many a time but from Heathrow to Gatwick and back you can do national express you can book tickets online and just walk out of the terminal to the bus stop If you have kids sometimes you can buy a family travel card and it gets you cheaper tickets and it takes you straight to Heathrow.
Or you could book a private transfer we have done both and the few times we tried the private transfer the driver was never there to meet us and we ended up stressing out trying to find them. So now we just jump on the bus.

I too have taken the bus many times and always found it very easy. I always book a bus that I think is the correct time but get in the first one that comes and never had a problem

We’ve always used National Express to transfer between LHR and Gatwick and find it cheap and quick but there’s only 4 of us. With your group size, a private minibus might work out better value. BA transfers always seems to get recommended a lot on here.

I used Batransfer to go from Gatwick to Heathrow after they were recommended on here.
Driver was waiting for us after customs and was driving a lovely Merc vito, wasn't too expensive either. (6 seater on their website coming in at £79 & 5 at £73) Id use them again.
