Whats the difference between a QSDP credit and paying normally? none as far as i can see. Unless they wish to discourage you eating onsite in which case drop the parking charges for onsite hotels?

Isn't that about the same time the 50th celebrations start? This gives me hope that that is when normality could resume.

I wonder if they will offer free disney dining for 2022 in April 2021, oh I do hope so!

I think the whole whats different about a credit or oop is that if they sell/give you a dining plan, they have an obligation to feed you. If the restaurants are busy, lines are huge, if you've no dining plan you just walk away maybe having a moan, if you have a dining plan, you complain to them because you're not able to use your credits in a reasonable timeframe/where you want to. Just my thoughts.

I’m still lurking - despite my best intentions. I was going to post more or less this. It’s exactly this. And if you sell or give away “loads” of DPs (as Disney do) you could have the situation where only DP holders get fed. That doesn’t work when you have AP/DVC/off site guests you need to feed.

Also, let’s not forget you might not get in a park every day given the need to book. I can’t see many people wanting to eat at their hotel food court every day! There are options at springs but most aren’t much cop (some of the park options are better).

Yeah it does make sense as much as it pains me to admit because I do love a free dining plan. We've just decided to extend our car hire, pay oop for any onsite meals we really want and can get then enjoy offsite which we do anyway. My kids would eat at Millers every night.

You beat me to it but exactly this. We would have a 790 page thread about how to get compensation for not having your dining plan honoured.

Disney’s obligation to you are your capacity to complain : seek compensation are the difference. Not you personally. One.
