Best way to pay a deposit DVC
Hi I’ve been a long time lurker and gained lots of valuable advice on all aspects of Disney but in particular DVC so thank you to all who post.
I’ve had an offer accepted on a Saratoga Springs contract and would be grateful if someone could advise me on the best/ cheapest way to pay the deposit and final costs if it passes ROFR. Thank you |

I just did it by bank international money transfer. It wasn't the cheapest option but for me and the money involved, it was the safest! The money went into the agents escrow account until all the final details sorted.
dvc by resale-Shontell dealt with it very efficiently. Good Luck Best thing we ever did.

Thank you I’ll look into that option safe sounds good!
We are very excited but slightly terrified it’s a lot of money but I believe we will save in the long run and it’s nice to think about the holidays to come |

Some will take a credit card for the deposit- but I think they charge a fee.
A lot on here have used HiFX for transferring money, I think it has to be a wire and not ACH (a bit like our BACS) as that will get rejected with a lot of closing agents for some reason

Transferwise, revolut, currencyfair etc are generally the best rates for international transfers, BUT they send money by ACH so can't be used.
The 2 most common options on here are HiFX and Travelex TransferWire , however, in the past 2 days Travelwire has stopped functioning, so I guess that leaves HiFX! |

Used my own Bank over the phone for the deposit, although now I believe that I can do it online, the full amount had to be done in Bank though. £20 for first one & £30 for second one. we use XE for our US bank account, you can pay your dues monthly DD but it has to be a US bank account.
