We only spent 3 nights in Naples last summer and our first night we arrived about 3am so we really didn’t do very much, however we loved Naples so much we’re heading back for 12 nights.
I’d recommend starting your day with brunch at Jane’s. There’s a zoo or corkscrew swamp sanctuary, lowdermilk beach, Naples pier. For dinner we loved Brooke’s burgers (cheap) or if you like seafood Citrus. If you’re looking for hiring a boat there’s a good deal on groupon. Have a look and see if there’s anything on in the Hertz arena whilst your there. And if you plan on heading towards Everglade city you can have lunch there, visit the smallest PO in USA, Smallwood Store then head 5 miles further east to HP Williams Roadside, a track that runs for 16 miles or so, there’s a waterway which runs on and off parallel with the track. You’ll see lots of alligators and turtles. Keep an eye out for bears and panthers too. There’s also another boardwalk along the road between Naples and Everglade city. |

Marco is only down the road from Naples, we often stay in Lely which is at the top of the road to Marco when staying in Naples, Marco is virtually in Naples, they run into each other so suspect you may find yourself going into Naples quite a bit, as there isn’t that much on Marco.
Some good tips above. Lowdermilk is the best beach love it there, but visit the pier. Walk around 6th Avenue especially on an evening. Also the park there, and sometimes concerts. Try the original Tommy Bahama tropical cafe for dinner. Beach around pier. The outlet mall up at Corkscrew is one of the best I’ve been to anywhere in USA, often much cheaper than Orlando. Can be combined with a trip to Corkscrew Swamp. Maybe go up to Fort Myers. Go to Naples local authority water park if you have kids, cheap and very nice for a half a day. Nice beach also at Lovers Key.

You have clearly been there rather a lot (as opposed to my once). We intended visiting Delnor Wiggins State Park on our one day this year as we pass through.
Any thoughts?

Yes it's all very nice along there- Lover's Key (where I knew the sales manager of a lot of the hotels and condos along that stretch as well as some hotels in Naples, and so we stayed quite a few times at the top of the Lovers Key Resort- lovely views), Delnor Wiggins and Barefoot Beach. Worth some beach time in the area. Watch out for mosquitos in the foresty mangrove areas though.
Yes we love it down there, if say I've been a dozen times or possibly more over 25+ years. Edited at 12:33 AM. |

Yes, it is great. You can combine it with a visit to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary which is well worth a visit. You can also combine with a stop for dinner at Gulf Coast Town Centre which has some good restaurants. Famous Daves BBQ there is pretty good, or Cantina 109 etc
