Mobile CBR plus DDP v Beach Club cost

Anyone have an idea of the difference in cost for 10 nights for the following.
CBR (plus upgrade to DDP for 4 adults)
versus
Beach Club (with free DDP)
Going in July.

I expect BC will be more expensive but wondered by how much - are we talking thousands?

Mine was for August, but we originally booked 10 nights in CBR and had paid extra to upgrade to DDP. After a week, we saw garden view rooms available at BC, which sounded much nicer, so we upgraded. It cost us almost exactly £1000 to upgrade, which was well within our budget (in fact, we’ve since added an extra 4 nights, oops!)

Hope that helps.

Cheers, seems reasonable. Now to decide whether the Skyliner beats the short walk to Epcot amongst other things!

Hi following with interest, we are also trying to make the same decision as you. Heart says beach club, but skyliner makes cbr much more tempting for us now.

I keep changing my mind - got till April to decide I suppose.

Upgrade to DDP will cost about £700 and I'm going to have to start doing a plan to see if it's worth it on the basis that 2 of the nights we definitely won't be doing table service.

Planning is part of the fun I suppose. Excel here we go.

The upgraded dining plan will cost £17 per person per night, so £68 more per night. I think it is very unlikely that you would find a Beach Club room costing only £68 more than CBR.

So conclusion it is almost certainly going to be much more expensive to stay at BC with free dining than CBR with upgraded dining. I would guesstimate one or two thousand more in total.

I think the OP was asking how many thousands the upgrade would be, rather than thinking it wouldn’t cost anything extra. As above, we did exactly this (10 nights CBR plus upgrade from free QSDP to DDP for four of us, then upgraded to BC with free DDP) and it cost almost exactly £1000 for August, so I’d say your guesstimate is pretty accurate for July.

We’Re going in August 2021. I’ve priced up both for this year with park tickets and DDP upgrade for CBR in what hopefully will be a free dining period. For 10 nights, 2A, 1C, CBR was £3870. For BC, it’s £5530, so about £180 difference per night. Obviously prices will be a little higher next year. I hope my husband doesn’t have any plans for his bonus as I do!

I know. And before I posted, I costed it out on a few different dates and provided a rough figure of how much more it would be, namely one or two thousand.

We are going for 10 nights in May this year and I priced a number of different options before booking.

CBR for 2 Adults with 14 night tickets and upgraded to DIsney Dining Plan was £3362

Beach Club Resort for the same 10 nights, 2 Adults with free Disney Dining plan was £4844
