Never seen such restricted availability

Given the Covid outbreak and bumping of bookings, it’s having a massive availability issue at 7 months and even at 11 in studios. As expected.

Early December is peak DVC time but even so I’d have no issue getting 1 beds at 7. I still can, for example SSR and OKW, and I could piece together some nice multiple split stay if so minded over 7 days but it’s been very badly hit. Studios forget it, and in fact for the really really popular studios we could be seeing a walking situation at 11 months. Worry will be there if you miss the 11 month you may not get 7- but this will likely only effect the most hard to get like Copper Creek. Also it means everyone looking to book on the window exactly really for most resorts at 11 months to be sure or trading up to 1 beds if caught out.

Suspect it will be better back end of 2021 but may have continued knock on for a few years.

Is it just me? I can log on to the DVC site and do everything fine but can't search for rooms.

I was having problems but just managed to have a look. Got 3 separate Saratoga bookings for December but can’t manage to reduce that. Will just stick with it for the time being but not hopeful of going, even by then.

It’s a bit ropey, suspect as it’s been hammered ready for 1pm. I’ve just managed to get back on now to check from 3 December. This was at 1:45 so maybe I’d have more luck at 1, but could manage 6 nights Boardwalk in 1 bed, or say a 3/4 split with Riveria this morning which is encouraging on the 1 beds even under extreme stress and the busiest time of year. No such luck on studios of course.

Mmm. The website worked for a bit but yet again it's not working now for bookings be it for Members or Member Services as I just spoke to them.

However good news.

I can fiddle around with our Aug stay Points and move those at risk to a Nov stay so they are safeguarded. Move some Nov ones back to Aug and if that trip doesn't take place the whole lot cam go into 2021.

Best to be prepared.

I’ve banked all what I can, I’ve 54 ‘at risk’ they need using by 30/11 but are currently rented out anyway for an American family staying September.

We now have a lot of points to use next year, so we will combine with some friends and do a week in the poly and 3 weeks in 2 beds.

I’m reluctant to bank a lot of points again just in case this happens and I end up losing them.
