Mobile Alamo child seats or Joie 360 seat?

I've emailed Alamo asking if there are LATCH points on the Toyota Sienna. We need an 8 seater and this is what pops up.

Alamo replied that their system doesn't show if the vehicle has the LATCH system.

The plan is to take 2 car seats, 1 being an infant one that can be used with a seat belt (DD used it this year when they were in Florida so problem with that one). The other seat that she's hoping to take is one of the Joie 360 ones that can only be used with isofix.

With the not very helpful email from Alamo we're not sure what's best to do.

Have any Dibbers taken one of these seats and used it successfully? Or indeed any isofix seat?

The other option would be to hire a seat from Alamo.

I found a 4 year old post in TripAdvisor with many posters saying Alamo child seats are clean and are wrapped in plastic bags when you collect them. Is this still the case?

Somebody asked this a few weeks ago.

If my memory serves me right I think DuncanB responded. I will check.

The seats are always stacked in plastic bags by the garage hut and look ok to me but that's just by walking past.
There is another pile of them by the Virgin Holidays hut in the garage.

Edit. Found this but nothing about Latch

A quick Google states they do have Latch

Hope this helps.

It was me that asked on that thread but I couldn't see any reply about the LATCH.

Edit... Which is what you said too. Forgive me. It's been a long day and my brain is muddled 🤣

Thanks for the info about the car seats. Am I right in my thinking that isofix and latch are the same thing?

Yes isofix and latch are the same thing. The 360 is a fairly bulky seat to take but would be easy to fit in an unfamiliar car.

Thanks. At least I can give DD all the info and we can go from there.

Very similar but not identical due to 1 extra fitting that makes a latch incompatible with isofix without messing around but doesn't effect isofix to latch.
However always a technically legal moving using isofix in US however I would and not seen any notes on prosecutions.
