Universal Fastpass Hotels - one night stay

Probably been asked before - but if you book a one night stay at a premium Universal Hotel to get Fastpasses - are you issued your key for day 1 at check-in time (4pm) and then it's valid for rest of day and day 2?

If check-out is 11am do you have to give the key back then - how do you continue with the Fastpass?

No you get two full days use. You can check in as early as you want (we’ve been there at 6am before) and your front of line passes last until park closes on day 2. If you’re room is not ready at check in you can leave luggage with bell services and they’ll text you when it’s ready. Your room key is your front of line pass and you keep that!

You can check in and get your keys early on day 1 - we went at 8am. They take your phone number and text you when your room is ready. You can go straight to the park, your keys are your FPs.

You don't need to hand in your keys - they are personalised with your names and dates so they won't want them back! You just go to the desk, pay any bills etc and then you still have the keycards to use for FPs on day 2.

We checked in before early opening - our room wasn’t ready but we were still able to have all of the perks. So express passes are available for the whole of both days. Just depends on what time you check in, but doesn’t matter what time you choose to check out, they’ll be valid until closing.

Totally worth it, specially if you are going at a busy time. The more people that are checked into the room (up to 5) the better value it becomes. Some people book the room and don't use it, we wouldn't do that but sometimes only two of us would use the room.

I’m looking forward to it.

We ended up booking 2 room as we are a group of 6.

Did get a club room in the hard rock is it was only £12 more expensive than a normal room
