Jersey? Not sure there’s much property to buy that you don’t need to be a Jersey citizen for though?

My understanding is that you generally need to be a Jersey citizen. I was unable to apply to join the Police there and I believe that even John Nettles (Bergerac) had problems moving there.

Perth Australia. My brother has moved there and it looks fab. There are bugs though and it gets hot in the summer.

Malta? You could always go on your holidays during the hottest months.
Do not come to the lake district. It never stops raining. |

If you’re okay with the cold... Canada? (I mean that’s my backup plan!) otherwise I would have said an expat community in Spain? Maybe Estepona or costa del sol?

I’m really not sure either. OH’s family live there (some have moved to the mainland) and he seems to think you can buy there but only a certain category of housing?

New Zealand. I love it there. It’s so beautiful. Plus, you have the choice of the North or the South Island.

Haha all the times I’ve been to the lakes its only rained twice!
Mind you my friend lives there and she says I’m clearly lucky, I’m usually the rain goddess and I’ve even had rain fall on me in the middle of the arabian desert!
