Bought tickets but cant use them!
I ordered tickets from a well known UK ticket website that were valid for 2 days Legoland and Legoland waterpark, told the company we were going in the last week of October and they issued us tickets that were valid until the end of November.
Here now, but cant use the waterpark tickets as its closed during the last week of October and throughout November! Have emailed them requesting a refund, we have not used the tickets, think thats a fair request? |

Which website if you don’t mind me asking. I know attraction tickets direct actually state on the offer page that the water park is only open seasonally, actually provide the dates and even go so far as to say they only open on certain days during the season. They also say to ensure the dates are available to you before selecting the package. So if you booked through them they could refuse a refund as its quite clear on the page not even hidden in small print.
If a different company it would depend on what they’ve stated on the webpage. |

Usually these tickets aren't provided for a specific set of dates and instead are valid for an extended amount of time (eg. a year). And websites usually state that the theme parks and/or waterparks (especially waterparks!) may be subject to seasonal closures. As such, the tickets will usually be sold to you under the terms and conditions that it's up to you to check that the park is open when you plan to visit and that there are no refunds if the park is closed when you are there. So it somewhat depends on the Ts&Cs (which I assume you agreed to).
Having said that, there's no harm in requesting a refund. The ticket company might give you a refund if it's part of its Ts&Cs or as a goodwill gesture. Worse case is that they say no.
