VA from GLASGOW seating

Can anyone tell me if it is 2-3-2 in premium or 2-4-2

Seems to be 2-4-2 in both economy and premium hence me being a bit confused as I thought premium and economy was different (tui is 2-3-2 in premium )

It’s 2-4-2 downstairs in PE and 3-4-3 in economy. The upper deck is 2-2 in PE and 3-3 in economy.

Tui is a completely different plane so that’ll be why but I’ve never flown Tui so no idea of seat width. The 747 VA fly is huge.

Ali. Bear in mind if you are talking about 2021 you may find the 747 aircraft being phased out by then.

The whole fleet of these planes is being replaced sadly. It will be at booking stage you will find out which aircraft is allocated for the flight. Hope you get a resolution to your issue.

TUI are not moving to Melbourne until 2022. As the facilities there are apparently being developed, you won't know what they will be, and if they will be adequate for you, for some time.
VA don't release their flights until 11 months before, so you won't be able to plan and book VA for 2022 until 2021 anyway.
There are major changes to MCO coming in late 2021 with the opening of the new South Terminal (Terminal C). The main US airline moving there is JetBlue (from Airside 1), but they haven't announced yet which others might transfer as well, so we don't know if VA will stay in Airside 4 or transfer. The new terminal has a completely different design (see MCO web site). It has 19 gates capable of handling up to 27 aircraft.
Whilst most VA flights from GLA to MCO are currently 747, you can't assume that. VS71 next Saturday is a A330-200, for example. As Tom says, all the 747 are due to be phased out in 2021, to be replaced by new A350. I have just read on another site that the first of the VA 747 to go flew its last flight yesterday. VA has also ordered new A330Neo to replace all its existing A330. VA has details of the seat plans and seat dimensions of each of its planes on its web site.

Depends on the aircraft. We flew out from Glasgow two weeks ago on a 747 downstairs in PE. Seat layout was 2-4-2.

We arrived back in Glasgow this morning on the Airbus in PE. Layout was 2-3-2.

Virgin are using the A330 over the winter and will go back to B747 for next summer, in a couple of years it will be an A350 instead.
