Bradenton and nearby areas

Can anybody tell me the best sites to book villas, condos for this area please? Someone on another thread recommended HomeAway but then I have just read that they don't get brilliant reviews! I'm fairly confident booking Dibb villas and also have used Orlando Villas in the past (repeat visits, same villa) but it's a whole new ball game looking for reliable villa owners in a different area!

I'd take some of the negative posts about Homeaway with a pinch of salt.

Are those 'reviews' verified? They could be (highly likely) posted by competitors who want you to book with them, or owners who want you to book direct.

We are in Bradenton now, I found the villa through HomeAway but booked direct with owner who lives in UK, no issues at all.

We haven't stayed in Bradenton, but we have on nearby Anna Maria Island a few times, and have used Anna Maria Paradise, and Island Real websites, both very good.

Funnily enough when I was looking at Anna Maria Island last week on Home Away I noticed that quite a few of the property managers names looked familiar. I checked on the Anna Maria Paradise site and sure enough all the advertised properties on Home Away were on their site too, and the managers names were their staff.

I would personally book through the Anna Maria Paradise site as it avoids the Home Away service fee, and you can also phone them on their UK free phone system.

We used Anna Maria Paradise when we booked a villa there very easy to contact.
