Money saving ideas

Hi,

We are going to Orlando next Easter. We got a good deal on a Fly drive with BA. We have a week in a DiBb villa and then 5 days at Daytona in a timeshare. We have two very lively boys and my parents are going too. With the falling dollar I’m just looking for any ideas/tips for saving money whilst there. We aren’t doing Disney and are planning on getting the 3 for 2 sea world ticket and I plan to resign up to restaurants to get offers. We don’t do much shopping. Thanks for any pointers

We planned to dine out everyday last year but our daughter, then 3, had other ideas and most nights when we got back to the house she just wasn’t interested in going back out. So we started making stops at Publix on our way back and picked up something for tea, and while food prices aren’t cheap out there it really did save us a lot of money.

On previous trips we maybe eat in a couple of nights (child free, we were on holiday and didn’t want to cook,) but I’d say we did about 8/9 nights in out of our 14 night stay.

I know it’s an obvious way to save money, but if you’ve not done it before, it really does make a difference.

Keep an eye on Groupon for places like Cici pizza (if you like pizza) as these can be pretty cheap meals out if you're wanting to save some money.

Also, if only doing the 3for2 SeaWorld package, I would wait until Black Friday to order the tickets as you can get the Discovery Cove dolphin swim included for little more (it was $199pp this year for the full package for any date).

Taking sandwiches to the parks works well, buying pizzas from supermarket and some salad and dips to go with them - easy and cheap meals that go a long way, also buy ice creams and soft drinks in supermarket and try to limit what you buy out.

We are not big breakfast eaters so we take a toaster with us. We originally bought this from Walmart for 7 dollars.
