i changed my purse over today and found receipts from universal! were in WWOHP on 24th june 2010, there was no way you could get inside any of the shops as you could hardly even walk around without being shoulder to shoulder with strangers, so we bought the wands from the Hippogriff Cart just beside the entrance to Flight of The Hippogriff. We stood in line for 35 mins and bought Harry Illuminating Wand $39.95 x 2
Subtotal $79.90
Tax $5.20
Total $85.10

i handed over the cash begrudgingly but the boys had their heart set on them.

Around Christmas time i saw the same wands [only not in the nice boxes] in Toys R Us on sale at £4.99!

The wands are sold all over and there are many carts in WWoHP which sell them too besides Ollivanders and the Forbidden Journey shop. Sadly they are around the $30 mark. They are themed on each character - Harry, Ron, Hermione etc. We have Dumbledore's wand and we mounted it under the framed picture from the ride. You can see it here at the bottom of the frame:

I am a huge Harry Potter fan and can't wait to go to Ollivanders! I was hoping I might get picked for the show but have noticed that people are saying it is mostly children

I have my heart set on a wand (i am 30 ) and I hope you don't mind, but after showing my DBf yoru frame and wand, we are totally gonna steal your idea! I think it looks brilliant!

Geoffa I think I am going to steal your idea as well. It is really good.
But seriously the noble collection do wand within UK which are excellent versions (£35) but you cant get away from them choosing their wand and the exchange rate the way it is will mean that it will be a good deal. Dont get the illuminating tips as they are more expensive.
