Men's smart casual outfit

So the wedding is booked for we&ding Chapel eustis. My dress and heels are bought. Not a wedding dress, just a pretty cream coloured lacy knee length. Question is what do men wear. A suit is too formal. I was hoping trousers and a nice shirt sleeves shirt. Possibly a waist coat but he's concerned about being too hot. Our time is 10am. It will be June though. Ceremony will last no more than 10 mind then up to 50 mins photography.
Any suggestions or photos would be greatly appreciated
