What class of car - 5 Adults 1 Child

Hi everyone,
For the first time in many years, November (6th - 20th) 2020 is going to be a family holiday (normally just myself and DW).
We will be 5 adults and 1 child (4 years old) with probably 5 large suitcases...
What group of car will suit us best? Is it the 7 seat SUV or 7 seat people carrier.
We will be booking through Alamo, so any advice on which vehicle to choose would be greatly appreciated.

i think you will find a 7 Seat People carrier (Minivan) more comfortable for the person in the third row and also more space for the luggage !

Have a look at this thread showing photos of cars hired https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=13295013&highlight=pacifica#post1 3295013

I agree with the above post. I would be looking for a Chrysler Pacifica. Nice car.

What would swing it for me would be the seat belt for the 4 year old. So easy to lean in via the sliding door to help them get seated and to check their seat belt is fastened. Not so easy with normal opening doors.

We Have just returned, we had 5 adults and 2 children in a 7 seater. Cases were a struggle but we managed, eventually (Tetris training). We had a Dodge Caravan which I would not recommend at all, gearbox was horrendous.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Normally my only choice is whether to have a Mustang or a Camaro, but this time is a little different.
Thanks Mr TM... Chrysler Pacifica it will be (if there is one)
