Snack Credits and Ghirardelli

We had the same! And snack credits were around $6/$7? We got the two tins full/ready to burst, the chocolate and caramel sauces and then she threw in some caramel chocolate bars too! We used 2QS credits I believe? We seemed to walk away with loads, great presents for people at home too

We were there mid November. They told us 1qs credit equal to $18.
We were going to get 2 bags of squares and use 2 credits. The assistant said you will get more if you use the tins and their offer of 2 tins for $22. Two assistant packed all the squares into the tins and stuck them down with tape. Then they made up the difference with bars of mint bark using the buy 3 get 1 free.
Can’t believe how many squares and snowmen they got in the tins
Hoping they have reinstated the dining plan when we return in September.

We went to Ghiradelli a few times last week.
The way the ddp plan credits are used has definitely changed now. They no longer have a monetary value.
For a snack credit you can get 1 bar of chocolate or certain hot drinks or a scoop of ice cream.
A QS credit is worth 3 snacks, so 3 bars of choc.(its buy 3 get a 4th free at the mo)
We can no longer get the bags of squares or any other gifts in Ghiradelli.
The lady I spoke to said they didn’t intend to change it back to the credits having a monetary value.

Luckily for us they were giving out 20% off vouchers while we were there so we got bags of squares with 20% off.

If you book your accommodation direct with Disney you get 10% off all goods at Ghiradelli , with the discount voucher you are given.

Thank you for the update

I'm so gutted they have stopped the $6.24 for each snack credit. When we went in August, we got 6 of the big bags of caramel squares as they were on 3 for 2 and also the small ones, some bars and some hot chocolate. My daughter also got a Ghirardelli teddy which she was over the moon about. I think if there's a next time, we'll just go back to shortbread and pez from disney. At least we won't have to worry about all the extra weight!
