Talking Is MIAMI worth a DAY TRIP from NAPLES? Any advice/tips?

We have 2 full days in Naples in May 2020 whilst traveling down the Gulf Coast.

I was considering driving to Miami for the day (approx 2 hours from Naples) and wondered whether you think it would be worth the drive to spend a day there?

I haven't properly thought about it yet, but I would consider a boat trip on briscayne bay!

If you do recommend it, where would you recommend we visit?

We are a couple in our late 20s!

Thank you

Naples is beautiful, if you onlyhave2 days there then I wouldn’t want to spend one of them in Miami.

It is doable but likely to be 5-6 hours driving round trip which is a lot for a day trip.
Alligator Alley (I-75) is also a really boring drive.

I guess it depends on what is drawing you to Miami?

Naples is a lovely wonderful city with lots to do & the Naples area offers similar activities to what you’d find in the Miami area; gorgeous beaches, shopping (high end, mid range & outlet), easy access to the Everglades, boat trips along the coast to see the houses of the wealthy, zoo, 5th Avenue & 3rd St (THE streets in Naples) with a large variety of lovely restaurants & where in the season (Jan-Mar) the wealthy snowbirds spending their winters in Naples go in their Rolls Royces & Bentleys to see & be seen.

You’ll easily find more than enough to do in Naples for 2 days.

Why if you are going to Naples for 2 days which is stunning , would you take a day driving across alligator alley or Tamiami and fighting Miami traffic. Miami is great but I’d certainly spend your 2 days in Naples.

Miami is great but worth more than a day trip...I would plan another trip to be honest and see Naples

I would stay in beautiful Naples and avoid overcrowded Miami.
