One day ticket for HS
We are heading back for a cheeky week next year - we are just planning on universal, however the kids are desperate to go back to hollywood studios ... what is the cheapest way to get a one day ticket for the 4 of us?!

it depends on what you mean as "cheapest"?!
normal cheap - Disney's US website and buy it on that financially cheapest - go through a timeshare sales spiel which will save you around 50% but you will lose all your civil liberties, freedoms and a sense of your humanity for 3 or 4 hours atleast.

The cheapest option would either be to buy the 1-Day tickets from Disney's US or Canadian website:
disneyworld.disney.go/en...s/theme-parks/ Or buy the 1-day tickets at the entrance. The cost will depend on the date chosen but starts from around $109+tax per person (about £90pp upwards). If you buy from the website before you go then you'll be able to link the confirmation email to your Disney account and book fastpasses beforehand. If you buy on the gate then you'll only be able to book fastpasses on the day. Other places, like UndercoverTourist, also sell 1 day tickets. But these tend to cost a few dollars more than from Disney.

Just to add to Nimbus excellent info, I'm sure if you buy from undercover tourist you get posted real tickets. I bought MK after hours from them and I got real tickets. Obviously double check on website. They might be easier for you as you'll have tickets in hand to scan at fastpass entrance.

why not just buy from the park direct? - i believe they're the cheapest option for 1 day, alternatively a Disney store?

Because i cant use a card out there i will paid via check so will have to use cash to pay and isn't it cheaper to buy somewhere else, isn't gate price more expensive?

Been looking at this idea as well as the boys want to go for the Star Wars stuff. Has anyone any idea if there’s likely to be any special events, similar to MNSSHP, for Hollywood Studios planned for next summer?

Some people have said that the price from Walmart is slightly cheaper than on the gate, but only by a couple of dollars. I've never tried. But that was a few years ago and may have changed now?
Otherwise, the price of a 1 day ticket is usually slightly more expensive when buying elsewhere compared to buying direct from Disney (either on the gate or online). I would expect Disney to accept the same sorts of payment methods as Walmart?
