Avis not happy

Had a one day rental to drive from port Canaveral and round Orlando for a few hours used less than a quarter of a tank of petrol but was pushed for time on the way to the airport so didn’t fill it back up but just checked my bank statement and I’ve been charged £60 we filled our previous car up from empty for $50 surely this amount can’t be correct help please.

Mmm, sounds like more than fuel has been added.

Do you have a receipt from the garage when you dropped it off?

This may work so worth a try.

Mmm. I'm struggling to see the return receipt but it looks to me like you returned it 6/8th full so got hit with the full refueling charge of $59.28.
Then add on tax and airport user fee. Plus a 3% fee on top of everything for opting to pay in £ as opposed to $

Best I can suggest until I get on the iPad and can enlarge the picture.

Wow never realised they would charge for a full tank when I had only used that much fuel was only $50 to fill from empty how can they get away with that didn’t even give me any options how I paid just gave me that receipt gutted probably only used $15 fuel and didn’t pass a garage just came off the freeway and suddenly was at the airport 😞

Most of the rental companies charge a hefty refuel charge if you don't return full or don't prepay for a tank of fuel in advance.

Budget / Avis charge $10 a gallon for missing fuel.

The Suburban has a 31 gallon tank and the receipt shows it was returned 6/8 so circa 7.75 gallons missing x $10 = $77.
