Claiming a flight only refund on credit card

I have just spoken with disputes team and they have confirmed that the delay in looking into my section 75 claim, with Sainsburys, is unacceptable and they will be paying me compensation for the delay. Still haven’t said when they will be paying me the money though the chap I dealt with today has agreed that it isn’t a chargeback claim, it is a section 75 claim and it shouldn’t have taken this long to resolve. Fingers crossed I get my money back soon.

Just checked mine and wife’s Virgin Atlantic credit card accounts and we’ve had 2 out our 3 payments refunded

You can, just request it. This should be at no charge to do as it is your money.

Is anyone else still waiting?

My claim was rejected by Tesco which they failed to tell me until I called them yesterday to chase. I have had to provide further proof of purchase and still have to wait 5 more days.

I have received a refund from Halifax I think only because I phoned up and asked to be put through to Disputes.

We are still waiting from Virgin card. Phoned and they said it was still being sorted and wont be much longer!

How annoying, it's bad enough that they reject it and need more information, but then to wait until you phone them before telling you is taking the proverbial.
