It does seem from posts on here that Hermes is not doing well.
I have said it before though that this doesn't seem to happen in all areas. My Guys are great. I will never spend time chasing up a courier as it's not my job. Straight to the supplier for them to resolve. Hope all those having problems get a decent resolution though.

I agree with Mr Tom, not all the Hermes drivers are awful. It does seem to definitely depend on the area. We are lucky in that ours is fantastic, he delivers with his wife. She stays in the car and has the clipboard and organises all the parcels while he drives and nips out to deliver. He’s incredibly helpful and if it’s in a large heavy box (our dog food delivery) he always carries in to the hall for me. Our dogs get super excited when they see he as he always carries dog treats in his top pockets and they know he will give them one!😂

I agree with you about the people who actually delver the parcels. Ours is very good and his daughter helps him. The problem I seem to have is the depot looses my parcels so they don't even get as far as the courier. I've just got off the phone with Disney and they've given me a full refund as the goods are now sold out.

Aren’t you nice, if only all streets were like this.
I tend to take in a fair number as I work from home and the regular couriers have worked that out but if anyone leaves it days to collect for no good reason then I just refuse the next time. Most people are great though. |

Hermes can be absolutely impossible to deal with but the delivery drivers in this area work their socks off to ensure we get a good service. We moved into a new build this year (the last few houses on an estate that was started in 2014) and when we moved in we were not yet on the Post Office search engine or Google Maps or anything. We had lots of problems with deliveries but Hermes were the worst and it was impossible to get hold of anyone to sort it out the local centre just sent everything back to the Next/Amazon etc I posted on our estate FB group in desperation for suggestions and within an hour one of our local delivery agents had contacted me. She agreed with me that the local centre was awful to deal with and suggested that in the meantime she would place our Next/Amazon orders on her own personal account and once delivered I could transfer the money into her bank account.
Now that is service. It took just over a month for our address to appear and our little road of 6 houses will be clubbing together to get her a case of her favourite wine for Christmas

OH used to be a delivery driver for target express. Owner driver with target livery. Wage was per parcel and paid own fuel and inclusive rental. Money was ok for unsociable hours. Worked out about 25k take home about 15 years ago. Winter was very bad though, from nov till feb easily 12 to 14 hour days. Summer less so.

Had two Hermes parcel to be delivered today, stated time of arrival between 10am and 2pm, they arrived at 12.30. After all the horror stories I was somewhat relieved.
