The registration required you to tell them which rental company you are using.
If this changes, does anyone know of you can login and change this on your account? Thanks |

I don't think the car rental company matters at all.
When we arrived at the villa on the evening and connected with wifi there was already an email from VTP confirming that my account was activated. Incidentally the email was timed about 5 minutes earlier than the time we left the Alamo barrier. So It seems that VTP had no real interest in which company we used. The VTP girl did however ask us to log on and edit the car reg on our account. When I logged on there was another reg on my account but it was absolutely up to date in terms of the three tolls we'd passed through in the previous 40 minutes or so - two on main 417 carriageway and one on j3 exit to the Osceola (charged at 52 cents by the way not the $1 if you pay cash ) The three transactions recorded the time, location and even which actual toll lane. Proved to me that it's the bar code that get's read as you leave the garage and cameras have no effect on the VTP tag. I just assume that they obviously recycle the tags when they are returned and are linked to the next CC - reg numbers don't really matter. Mick

Have to say this system is great.
The tag you hang in the car has an ariel in it, I assume this is picked up by the sensor and camera as you leave the parking garage, After that the number plate is linked by the camera and you are good to go, you can see the sensor and camera as you leave the garage, jus before you join the main road. Hopefully this will become perm, I see no reason why it won't

I’ve signed up to the scheme register my card and rental company plus car pick up time and flight etc. Even got a ref number which it stated a email was being sent out. I’ve not had the email yet. I booked it Xmas night and thought maybe the system was down or something over the festive period. But it’s still not arrived as of the 28th. Anyone else had problems not getting confirmation email.

We got am email straightaway after filling in the on-line form. This had our "reservation number" on it. What was the ref number you mention and how did they communicate it to you.
I booked in August and my number was four digits beginning 7xxx. After receiving my reservation number email I had no further communication until I met up with them at MCO Mick

The email I received from them opened with this
Welcome to Visitor Toll Pass Pilot Project Thank you for participating in the Visitor Toll Pass™ pilot project. Your reservation details are listed below. You can update your trip details at any time by clicking the Manage My Trip link above, or by using the View/Update Reservation button below. My reference number was in the heading and below that text were all my details (name, dates, airline, car hire company). Maybe you should chase by email or phone? Mick
