Upgrade for free parking

Is it possible for one person only per car to upgrade to an annual pass purely to access free parking? I've read it's approx $100 to upgrade one ticket thus meaning it's paid for itself after 4 visits.

definitely, we upgrade all our tickets as go 3 times a year but only to minimum then get 1 that has the parking

I think you will find it's more that $100 to upgrade. I know it cost us $150 to upgrade to the gold pass which you can only get if you are a dvc member or a Florida resident! Otherwise I think it's nearly as much as buying another 14 day ticket!

Yes, only one of you in the car needs to have an Annual pass that provides free parking in order for the whole car to park for free. You don't pay for the parking on a per person basis - it's just once per car.

Price-wise though it depends on which Annual Pass you are talking about?

For Disney, it is a lot more than $100 to upgrade. It will cost roughly around $600 to upgrade from a 14-day ticket to the Platinum Pass. If you are a DVC member or Florida resident then you can get cheaper passes.

For Universal, you would need to upgrade to the Preferred Annual pass to get free parking after the first visit. In this case, yes it should cost less than $100 to upgrade. It's is worth considering for Universal if you are driving and planning to visit on more than a couple of days.
