ADR help!
Hi all,
I am staying at WDW for 7 nights from 4th June and have DDP. I am supposed to book ADR tomorrow and don’t know really where is the best to book sit down meals in evenings, have been told to book meal to get fantasmic but where? Any help on planning and you can spare the time to relieve me of stress! Only 2 of us are going and I’m staying at Coronado springs. One again thanks |

That is a very open question, there are hundreds of restaurants on Disney property and strangers won’t know which would suit you. I would suggest you read a few dining reports from the link below or take a look through the restaurant area on the Disney site and review some menus.
https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=130 However as it is your booking date tomorrow, maybe put a few placeholders in for the popular restaurants that get booked out early, then cancel later if you decide that something else would suit you better. Hard to get reservations include pre park opening breakfasts at Be Our Guest, Garden Grill, Akershus. California Grill brunch (Sunday only) is hard to get so maybe place hold that whilst you have a think. Beaches & Cream, Storybook Dining at Artists Point and Cinderella’s Royal Table also get booked up. Most other things you can take your time with. I have never heard that a Fantasmic package was an essential, it depends how much you want to see the show really. And you can see it without a dining package anyway. There are three restaurants that offer the package, Hollywood & Vine which is a character buffet meal, Mama Melrose an Italian and Hollywood Brown Derby which is a signature restaurant. You need to book the package though do it will be obvious what the choices are, booking the restaurant only will not get you Fantasmic preferred viewing pass. |

I wouldn’t bother with the fantasmic package, we did it in 2018 and the seats were better when we watched in 2016 without it, you usually get a decent view in the unreserved area. We did have a lovely meal at mama Melrose though. We went in October and I didn’t actually book any ADRS, we stayed on site but just winged in and got bookings on the day, not saying this is the best way to do it but it worked for us. I would book character dining though if that interests you.
