Mobile Worry over Watch size

I have got my daughter a watch which she really wants but doesn’t think she can have (because she is having a phone) so I can’t ask her or it will spoil the surprise.
We had seen the watch in our town but over Black Friday it was in offer from John Lewis so I ordered it, it arrived and I have wrapped it.
The watch face is 34mm
I was in town yesterday and looked in the window at the watch we initially saw. It’s actually bigger, it’s 38mm.
I actually prefer the smaller 34mm one. She is only slim with slender wrists but she did want a big watch because apparently that’s the fashion lol
Looking into the watch it seems they do 3 sizes, small, medium and large (medium and large are the same price)
I don’t know if I should keep the watch I have bought. Or return it and get the bigger one.
What size watches are right for fashion conscious teenagers?

4mm I wouldn't think would make a big difference would it? But I do think bigger watch faces are the trend my eldest has a couple of lovely watches and they both have quite big faces, she doesn't wear them often though as usually has her fitbit on.

I would not think 4mm makes that much difference but the larger one does look a lot bigger weirdly.
I personally prefer the 34mm one but I am a 46 year old mother of 3 not a 16 year old girl 😂😂
So what do I know.

Lol I'm same, whatever I do would be wrong, my eldest is 21 she's had even longer in life to be fussy 🙄🙄, I gave up years ago even saying that looks nice whenever I'm in a clothes shop with her 😂😂

It’s Olivia burton. It’s a 3D one so it’s rather deep if that makes sense

I know the ones you mean, they are lovely, if it's the larger one she likes I would swap it if you can. It'll make a difference to a fashion conscious girl 😂

DD chose an Olivia Burton too! I was surprised how deep it was but she tried it on and was happy. I would say go for the one she really likes, keep the receipt and change after Xmas if necessary 😄

This is my husband’s thoughts. It’s wrapped & hidden already.
