I just flew almost halfway around the world last week to get home from WDW. The most direct routes I have to get to WDW include the choice of a 15 hour flight then a 5 hour flight, or a 13 hour flight then a 9 hour flight.

I have mixed feelings as to whether I'd prefer the above routes (with a stopover somewhere) or a direct 20 hour flight! I think it might depend on where my stopover choices are - I quite like having just a brief stopover of a couple of hours, or if it's a long stopover during the day then it's sometimes rather fun to explore the city. However, I've also seen stopovers of something like 8 hours overnight, which doesn't sound fun at all, so would much prefer a direct flight with no stopovers to this sort of stopover...

In all seriousness, Oz and NZ are off our list of destinations now owing to the ‘effort’ of getting there - unless it was by cruise ship!
Same here, too many other places to go, I think we'll run out of time and money first 😀
I would to get as far east as Japan though.

Syd-Lhr once 22 hours with an hour in Singapore.. I was 15 years younger and 2 stone lighter .
In economy.. ten hours in I hit a wall of sheer boredom
And I had to take 2 days off work as I felt so ill.
If I ever go back to Australia it will be business only !

Yes I could, I only ever had the shortest stop ever, 40 mins in KL once, usually 3 hours in Abu Dhabi.
It’s nice to walk around I suppose, but just makes it longer. Rather it be quick
