Make sure you get there before 12pm and just go inside to wait once they open the doors, at exactly 12pm all the staff come out for the welcome ceremony.

I haven't timed the walk I suppose it will depend if you are walking at full pace or just strolling.
If you look at the Map HERE you can see 'The Land' near the top left and Japan near the bottom centre, it's almost one end of the park to the other.
