I have just had a half baguette from Lidl covered with mushrooms fried lightly and mixed with a little creme fraich. Lots of pepper. Yum.

Some great suggestions (apart from EssexSue's), but I believe my princess salmon paste on brown bread (lightly buttered) is the best suggestion so far, plus I was the only one who went to the trouble of posting a picture.

I appreciate the like😀.

My wife will eat fish and chips in our local chip shop, but she always leaves all the fish batter and only eats the white cod, but yet she won't eat fresh cod fillets because she says she doesn't like fish?
