Condos or villas in walking distance to restaurants
I'm sure this has been asked before, apologies in advance.
We went to Florida earlier this year for the first time and had an amazing holiday. We stayed for 5 nights at POFQ, then 6 nights in a villa on Anna Maria Island, then 3 nights at Universal's Royal Pacific. It was a perfect introduction and we loved it. We're now thinking about going back again in April 2021. We may well go on site again but we are thinking a lot about the different food options we missed and wondering about trying an off site stay. It is very tempting to think about the space a villa or condo would offer us, and we love the idea of being able to stay put in one base. Just wondering if anyone can think of any villa or condo options that would allow us to walk out on a night for a meal without having to drive? Does that even exist? Any advice gratefully received. |

We stayed in Cane Island. The condos are furnished a bit more basic that some, but are large and have everything a villa does, we had a 3 bed, 2 bath condo. Within walking distance was a Longhorns, Chillis, Ihop, Perkins, Cracker Barrel, and an olive garden, there are also a couple of good gift shops and a CVS. We really liked being able to walk to places in the evening/

Thanks for this both. Those restaurants sound exactly what I was after Sam. Will have a look on a map.

Some villas in Highlands Reserve are within safe walking distance of Berry Town Center using the side entrance on Sand Mine Road. Berry Town Center has several restaurants including Applebee's, I-Hop, Mia-Pizza, two bars and a very good Chinese takeaway as well as a Publix supermarket.
Please be aware though that Highlands Reserve is a very spread out community as the villas are arranged around a golf course, so if being able to walk to the restaurants is important to you, you will need to be careful to rent one in the right location. Debra
