Hormonal pre teens
I know this is all part of growing up and we are only at the start of it, the sulking I can mostly ignore but the grizzly crying is driving me insane! 10 mins of it yesterday after school for no reason other than being told not to be rude and again tonight again for no reason than me speaking to her about how well she is doing with all her dance and performing.
Anyone else going through this? |

My eldest is ten so we’re slowing entering this but she’s a very laid back chilled girl so I’m hoping to get away lightly. Her younger sister is a tad more intense and sensitive so I won’t get away with anything for long!

My older two cry. They are ultra sensitive and cry. We don’t have the moods or bad attitude but over emotional tears.
It can be over something simple like ‘have you brushed your hair’ which ends in tears because obviously their hair is such a disaster they can’t possibly go out It’s like an emotional rollercoaster |

my 8 yr old DD is already stroppy and arsey when she doesn't get what she wants and has said "I hate you" numerous times, I know she's only going to get worse the closer she gets to the teens... I am dreading it TBH
DS 12 has never said I hate you (not that I remember anyway) and while we do get the odd grump strop and door slam if he's told "no you can't play on the xbox for another 3 hours" generally hes pretty good - Although he has just gone to school in a bit of a grump as he has to walk to the bus stop today (usually jumps in the car with me on the way to work) in the wind & rain so I dared to tell him that he needed to wear his coat as it was bouncing it down and his blazer wouldn't keep him dry in a 10 minute walk in that weather he still said "i love you" as he walked out the door but it was in a low sad voice like I had just destroyed his world telling him to pop a coat on Hope things improve for you OP |

I didn’t realise how moody my 12yr ds was until Monday when he came out of school so happy. He was a delight that evening, we had fun and laughed and didn’t get all sensitive about it 🙄. He was back to his moody self yesterday though. I actually miss the non moody child more than I ever realised 😩
