HHN, frequent fear vs upgrade advice please
Hi everyone, on HHN every year we normally buy a Frequent Fear pass with FP which means we can go on multiple nights and not have to worry about long house queues, but found this year its going to cost around (approx) £650 for 2 adults, which we thought sounded really expensive...….
However we are already going to have Universal 14 day passes anyway, so just wandering if we could please ask your advice. Please DONT tell us what themes there are this year, as we do not wish to know and always find it a nice surprise for when we get to the entrance, but is it going to be cheaper to just ''upgrade'' our day ticket if we are only going to go for say 2-3 nights with FP or is it cheaper to pay for the FF? Obviously we don't know how an upgrade and a FP will work or more importantly, what it will cost, as never done it like this before, but could we please take some advice on this one to save money (if it will work or not)? Thankyou for reading. |

If it was my money I would do 1 rip tour and just utilise the stay and scream option for the other nights you plan to go. Depending when you go rip passes start at 170 dollars each plus tax, plus the cost of your frequent fear pass.

Any idea what they are charging nowadays for stay and scream and the upgrade cost on top of your existing ticket?
That's what I mean, possibly pay the RIP, then upgrade other nights and hope it comes out cheaper than £650, don't know if it would though? Say 2x £170 plus tax, that's nearly £400 then add on your SAS for say 2 nights and cant be far off the FF surely? |

Stay and scream cost nothing if you have day tickets for park. Your right you will get a little bit of a saving as frequent fear passes are around 100 quid each. You get to see all the houses and get a bite to eat and some express for the rides. I think it all depends how many nights you are going and how many nights you plan on getting the express. If your only doing 3 nights you could see all the house 1st night on the rip then on the other 2 nights if you use the stay and scream you can get in one half of the houses 1 night and other night the other half of the houses. This way you can chill around the scare zones and rides once the lines get really long. Not saying it’s fool proof but this is the way I do it and works for us.

Stay & scream cost nothing? Since when ? Are you sure because why would anyone with an AP, for instance, ever buy a HHN ticket as they would just "Stay & Scream" every day Our first ever S&S cost $19.99 way back in 2001:
The very best way to do more at the event is to take advantage of Halloween Horror Nights Early Entry, also known as Stay and Scream. You'll need regular park admission and a Halloween Horror Nights ticket to do this, but many of you will already be spending the day in the parks, so why not take advantage? All it really means is that you don't have to leave the park SD

Just to clarify on the stay and scream issue:
Universal no longer sells a specific "Stay & Scream" ticket for early entry; anyone can access this opportunity if they have any valid daytime park ticket, including annual passholders. Also, the buy one night, get one free were only on sale until early June. They are no longer available. I'm going to HHN Hollywood this year so will be deciding between express and RIP when the prices are released as they dont do frequent fear. Last year, we did two nights at HHN Orlando and got everything done plus had some time to relax and soak up the scare zones which was important to us. Knowing we did not have to do everything on one night made up for the fact that we had to queue for some houses. |

Have always paid extra for stay and scream last time three years ago it was around $38 plus tax, it wasn’t called Stay and Scream like it used to be but the add on ticket did the same thing it’s just like a top up to your park ticket.

Apologies. I ment stay and scream Is free if you have day tickets and Hhn tickets thought that was obvious. You just go to the holding areas till the day guests are ushered out before the event.
