Has anyone stayed on Sunrise Garden Resort on Spring Ave? We have a chance for a one night stay.
Is it close to the best parts of AMI? Can anyone advise the best beach on the Island and also best places to eat drink? |

We visited here for the first time last year and it was just heaven.
Planning a day trip here next month with our family - can't wait to show them this gorgeous place Hoping to rent a cottage here for a few nights next year on our next Florida trip

The boss and I stayed at 303b 61st Street with friends last September, it was a 4 bed house on 3 levels and it even had an elevator which was great for all the bags and shopping. We booked it through Island Real Estate which had it's office at the bottom of the road. If you go you must try Minnies for breakfast and Skinnys for burgers and a beers. We loved AMI and will certainly be back.

AMI sounds wonderful, i've often considered it as a friend always stays there & also at Sanibel & Captiva. I have a few questions, Is there places to have a drink of an evening & is there any good shops?

We used to go to The bridge tender Inn for a meal and drinks it was lovely by the waterside and had a singer on most nights. We then used to walk and finish our night off at the Beach House Bar and then walk/stagger home! We ate out at the sandbar and had Breakfast at Ginny & Janes which was interesting! We had Brekkie at the Gulf Drive Cafe too. Food was good service wasn't. To be honest if you jump in the car and go over the causeway you hit all the main chain restaurants which are probably cheaper to eat at.

We're booked for four nights at the end of our holiday I'm really excited, just keeping everything crossed that the weather is hot and sunny when we are there
