What is so special about celebration?
Hi everyone I know celebration is a well known topic on the DIBBS and I've even asked questions myself before. We went close to celebration (I think) when we went to busch gardens but what I wanted to know is : what is so special about it? I know it has some nice restaurants and a lake you can sit around. We are 2 adults in our 30s. Is there anything there that we will actually enjoy? Is it just a posh little town? Also are you able to see any of the fireworks from there? How long goes it take to drive from Disney and how long from I drive please? Thank you dibbers

Celebration isn't near Busch Gardens, you may have seen some of the offices on the I4 side Disney Vacation Club office etc.
It is a pleasant little town along the Stepford/Desperate (House) wives type streets. It has a little town centre with some nice restaurants and shops. We bank up there and there is a US post office. It really comes into its own at special holidays, 4th July, Halloween, Christmas etc. Its very reminiscent of the white picket fenced towns of old hollywood movies. You wouldn't I don't think be able to see the fireworks at Disney but it is worth a visit. Located on 192 just near the junction with I4 celebrationtowncenter/ Alison |

Celebration is a lovely place to visit for a couple of hours .
There are some lovely places to eat or have a coffee or ice-cream. Lovely rocking chairs to sit on in front of the lake. Also a nice choice of shops to have a wander in. We love driving around to see the really BIG houses at the back - they are beautiful. As Alison mentioned its especially nice there at Halloween and Christmas with lots of things going on. |

Yes I have a photo taken by the sign. Suppose it might not be everyones cup of tea but we like it and looking at all the fab houses in the "Millionaire's Row" Halloween with the Pumpkin Patch at the church and the houses all decorated always reminds me of the Michael Myers Halloween movies. I think its more about the fairytale feeling its supposed to have. Big houses, classic american houses, nice lakes and main street etc.
I wouldn't say its a must must do but its pleasant to see if you have spare time on your hands. i was fascinated by the sizes of some houses deep into the housing estate. all which seem to lie empty for most of the time. bizarre that no one walks about :S
