I was comparing the designer shops selling the latest full price items outside Disney Springs to the same ones selling the same thing for the same price inside Disney Springs. The locals are as likely to go to (or not go to) the same shops outside DS as they are inside DS.

Meanwhile, tourists staying at Disney will more likely shop at DS than outside DS. And, being on holiday, they will be more likely buy something than at the same shops back at home.

Thus, the designer shops inside DS will likely be making more money than the same shops outside DS. If they weren't then they wouldn't be paying the higher rent to be there.

It sadly lacks evening entertainment venues. When I've had dinner I want to relax and maybe have a laugh not go shopping!

This is a good point.
We're not interested in Cirque so something else (no idea what?!) would be good.
Are there any plans yet for Disney Quest?

What are the prices like in uniqlo and Zara?

Traditionally pretty cheap here in Britain, so I'm assuming even cheaper in the US?

Is there not free concerts and bosrdwalk style entertainment?

The following places have live music: House of Blues, Bongos Cuban Cafe, Raglan Road, Paradiso 37, Boathouse.
Plus there are live entertainers at various places throughout Disney Springs (for instance at the Waterside stage, Exposition park, Riverboat Square, etc).

Have a look at the following pages for a list of the entertainment at DS:
wdwent/ds.htm
disneysprings/entertainment/

Admittedly, the entertainment tends to be music related. There's no comedy club, or similar.

Personally, I just don't like some of the stores or even the look of a large part of it. I found it most un-Disney like tbh.

Agreed, it's just become a Disney shopping mall

Got back last week and was disappointed with Disney Springs as well. Yes they have made some steps forward with the new parking system and some restaurants, however, I really don't like the idea of a shopping complex.

The good things was that DD and DW could walk there from SSR, and it saved me a half-day visit to the Florida Mall. Had to chuckle when DW asked me about the new "Lime Park" restaurant - she had only seen part of the Lime Parking garage name , but shows how well they have designed the whole area.
