Disabled parking permits in California ?

I am trying to find out about disabled parking in California.

When we have visited Florida we were able to buy a temporary parking permit vaild for Florida. I cannot seem to find any info anywhere regarding Californian disabled parking permits. The USA tourist website advises to check directly with the states DMV but when i go on Cal.DMV site it doesnt give info for overseas travellers and there is no email address to query.

Any info would be appreciated.

They have this form on their website which includes a travel option.

This is what we used when we did a tour round California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah. I laminated it and just put it in the window with our blue badge. If you go onto the web page it will tell you which States are possible. I think only Utah wasn't part of the system.(although we didn't have any problems there either).

Nice that there is no fee for the "Travel" one.
