six flags! one day ticket or season pass?

Hi All!

old dibb member here! back because i have new questions about our California trip in august 2017!

noticed today six flags have a mermorial day sale on where season passes are $62.99 when buying 4 or more (there are 5 of us anyway!)

i totalled my six flags cost on 5 advance purchase passes, 2 refill bottles and parking pass which came to $354.54

with the season tickets we will have to pay tickets plus parking plus refill bottles which totals $364.93

only $10.39 more for extra days plus another $20 in parking

my question is that is six flags a park that you would need more than one day at?

should i buy the season pass just in case? for only $10

thank you!

Yes I would get the season pass given that cost.

I have bought season tickets for one park for my hols (Canada) and it saves me money on the two day ticket. I also bought a parking year pass as we are going for 4 days in one week.

We loved six flags,we went there in July last year. It is a big park with lots of huge rides. We just done one day as that's all our hectic schedule would allow. We were lucky as it wasn't too busy and we went on a Saturday. We managed to get most of the big rides done, some twice (superman and lex Luther-awesome! ) but there was a few we didn't have time for. Had we had the time we would of probably done a second day and we'd definitely go back if we're ever in that area again. If i were you,for the extra it'll cost id get the season passes, then you've got the option to go back if you want to.
We expected it to be busier than it was it being a Saturday in July and were talking to a staff member who said it was unusually quiet that day so we hit lucky. Even more reason to get the season pass if it's busy then you could possibly go back.

I think you'll be fine but make sure it's open when you're there! I just found out the days we are in LA the park is closed so we can't go - gutted!

I assume the annual pass also applies to the waterpark which is adjacent on the same site? That may well be worth it on its own if you would want to do that on a second day.

The Six Flags over Texas annual pass doesn't give access to the adjacent water park, so I'd check before making that assumption. We bought annual passes (Texas) but there are offers on all of the time - we got one with free parking, so it may be worth hanging on and you have the option of popping back for an hour or two at no extra cost.

Wow, Six Flags over Texas - our family went there in 1989, our very first trip to America! My brother lived near Dallas at the time, we went to visit him and he took us to Six Flags. My kids were really little, but they LOVED all the big rides! We sat in the Cotton Bowl and watched a firework and laser show, one song in particular that they played was "America" by Neil Diamond - it was all staged so dramatically, that that song became our USA trip anthem for years afterwards!

Sorry, OP, slightly highjacked your post there with a bit of nostalgia!

I've rearranged my schedule to make sure I can fit in a trip to SFMM, it's only open weekends when I go
