Thyme restaurant at PI

We booked into the Premier inn at Heathrow. I'm sure I read somewhere about reserving a table at the restaurant before check in. How far in advanced would I need to do this?

in my experience. there is no advantage to doing it in advance. we have
booked in advance (no record booking on arrival)
booked same day twice (once had record once not)
if you are checking in before 4 ish then reserving a table on check in is safe enough

Don't bother booking, past two times I have booked in advance for it to not be documented. Thankfullly they have believed me both times as was manic busy

I've always made a booking to make sure we had a table especially when there were 6 of us. They've always had our reservations.
