Exciting exciting exciting.. flights booked🤤
Well, 4 times now, I have planned California and booked Florida. This time I bit the bullet and booked. We chose Easter due to far greater value and lower crowds, plus we do not consider this a beach holiday, more of a sightseeing extravaganza.
2 adults plus boys of 15 and 11 at flight. 28 March 2018 LHR to SFO Virgin Dreamliner direct. 11 April 2018 LAX TO LHR Virgin Dreamliner direct. We started with BA flydrives that were £670 pp but then, when we priced a car, Chevy Cruze at roughly £300 for 14 days, then that meant the flights were £595 pp with the outward being via Chicago. We then tried Skyscanner and Kayak.. nothing special. We then priced Virgin on their website, but the prices were stupid. I then went for my time honoured, trusted and proven favourite.. Delta. £578 pp on a Virgin codeshare. We hadn't intended booking today... but at that price it was silly not too. Plus we still have the rebate on the youngsters tax to come. Many thanks to all of you on the DIBB who have given advice in the past month. It was this that tipped me over the edge! Now the detailed planning begins.

Sounds fab. We looked at cheap flights to California last year and again ended up booking Florida.
We went years ago before having the kids, was amazing. Happy planning 😁
