I was having a look at fastpasses as a trial run, they still have as mentioned A LOT of availability for rides considering, I think it'll be a case of winging it and playing it on the day 😅 Thanks for the help!
The problem with park tickets is that if they get up one morning and say they want to do a park that's fine as the price difference for one day in advance vs at the gate will be minimal. The issue is that they then wake up a second day and decide they want a park and have to pay a full day admission again whereas a 2 day ticket would have been cheaper. The cost difference gets bigger the more days you add the ultimately you get to a point where the 14 day ultimate is cheaper over all. It would be really much more cost effective and save wasting up to hundreds of £££/$$$ if they had a rough idea how many days they think they'd manage then I'd cost up Magic Your Way tickets accordingly.
